— MV Financial expands its offering to retirement plan sponsors as 401(k) client demand increases —
MV Financial is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris Schaefer as Head of the Retirement Plan Practice Group; its growing retirement plan practice. Mr. Schaefer, a 14-year veteran of the firm, is taking on this newly-created position to meet MV Financial’s long-standing and growing commitment to retirement plans, for both fiduciaries and beneficiaries.
Mr. Schaefer’s appointment comes as MV Financial expands its retirement practice in response to increased demand from middle-market clients seeking to broaden their employee benefit programs while also minimizing expenses and improving retirement outcomes for their employees.

The retirement practice that Mr. Schaefer will oversee serves 401(k) plans as well as 403(b), 457(b), and defined benefit plans in the private and nonprofit sectors. He will work closely with the firm’s investment management, portfolio operations and client services divisions to provide clients with tailored retirement planning and investment guidance. Notably, the practice serves government contractors, professional services firms, nonprofit organizations and trade associations and has a strong Mid-Atlantic and Washington, D.C. metropolitan area focus.
